AIRBORNE HOBO

Bob came to me with the first two verses, and I found a tune to go with it & added a verse.
Played the whole thing on a E-MU keyboard through a Yamaha QY100 sequencer using stock patterns
and a chintzy fiddle voice over the top
kicked into jail     for lack of a dollar
kicked out of bars     for having no collar
kissed into a dance     by traveling gypsies
kissed into a bed     by a stranger who missed him

kicked into the music of spheres and insects eye to eye
crawling under trees and turning green to stay alive

      nameless meandering river
      tributaries of faces and eyes
he's your lost uncle from wandering cirrus skies

kissed off by women     making love with verses
sanctuaries of ale and curses

just an airborne hobo
from rotating leaves in the wind

      nameless meandering river
      tributaries of faces and eyes
he's your lost uncle from those boot heel slow cirrus skies

killed for a love     that left him all alone
killed for a hand that closed     just outside his own
still as the night     in the first december snow
still as the dawn red street where the naked street lights glow

just an airborne hobo rising smoking from the leaves
in the chilly rain two freight trains pass
that whistle still grieves

      nameless meandering river
      tributaries of faces and eyes
      he's your lost uncle
and he's wandering those cirrus skies
